Pyramids of Giza
Then discover this legendary plateau, home to the last surviving wonder of the ancient world. This vast royal necropolis brings together three towering pyramids and a network of temples built for the pharaohs of the Fourth Dynasty.

Great Pyramid of Khufu
Marvel at this masterpiece, built between 2589 and 2566 BC by the engineer Hemiunu using 2.6 million limestone blocks. It held the title of the tallest man-made structure on earth for nearly 4,000 years, and its scale is best appreciated standing right at its base.

Pyramid of Khafre
Visit this pyramid, standing 136 meters tall, whose entrance was rediscovered in 1818. Look closely near the summit and you can still spot fragments of the original polished limestone casing that once covered the entire structure.

Pyramid of Menkaure
See the smallest of the three pyramids, parts of which remain covered with red granite shipped from Aswan. Its more modest scale offers a fascinating contrast to its larger neighbors and hints at how pyramid construction evolved by the end of the Fourth Dynasty.

Valley Temple of Khafre
Explore this royal mummification facility, built with granite designed to withstand Nile flooding. Its cool, cavernous interior of massive pillars is remarkably well preserved, offering a rare sense of how these sacred spaces looked and felt in antiquity.

Great Sphinx
Encounter this magnificent guardian, carved from a single block of limestone and standing 21 meters high and stretching 73 meters long. Its lion body and human head symbolize strength and intelligence, and it remains one of the most iconic and photographed monuments on earth.

Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square
Continue to this treasure house of Egyptian history, home to thousands of priceless artifacts, original statues, and an invaluable collection spanning the country’s rich civilization. Discover the museum’s highlight exhibitions, showcasing royal treasures and ancient masterpieces that bring millennia of history vividly to life.

Karnak Temple

Regarded as the religious capital of ancient Egyptian civilization, this is one of the world’s most significant archaeological sites. Spread across 247 acres, it was built and expanded over the Middle Kingdom, New Kingdom, and Greco-Roman periods, between 1971 BC and 30 BC. Karnak Temple was dedicated to the Theban triad of Amun, Mut, and Khonsu. Among its most striking features are the great hypostyle hall, its many shrines, and much more.

After the visit, check in to your 5-star deluxe Nile cruise and enjoy lunch on board, followed by some free time to relax on the ship. In the evening, you will be escorted to visit:

Luxor Temple

Known as the divine house of celebration and royal coronation, Luxor Temple, the “Southern Sanctuary,” was built around 1400 BC as a living symbol of the renewal of kingship. Great rulers such as Ramses II, Amenhotep III, and Alexander the Great left their mark on the temple, and some were crowned within its walls. It was renowned for hosting the Opet Festival, when statues of the gods were carried along the Avenue of Sphinxes.

Return to the cruise ship for dinner on board and an overnight stay.

Day 7: Luxor- West Bank Tour- Cruise Sailing

Rise and shine with a delicious breakfast on board, then meet your guide for a journey into the legendary West Bank of Luxor, where the pharaohs chose to rest for eternity.

Valley of the Kings

Step into the underground world of Egypt’s mighty rulers. Hidden among the desert hills, this royal burial ground holds 63 tombs of New Kingdom pharaohs from the 18th, 19th, and 20th Dynasties, including Seti I, several Ramesses, and the world-famous Tutankhamun. Inside, vividly painted walls and detailed inscriptions reveal ancient beliefs about the journey to the afterlife.

Temple of Queen Hatshepsut

Prepare to be amazed by this architectural wonder, built into the dramatic cliffs of Deir el-Bahari. Dedicated to the god Amun and completed around 1479 BC, the temple rises in three grand terraces lined with elegant colonnades and beautiful reliefs. It celebrates the remarkable reign of Egypt’s most famous female pharaoh.

Colossi of Memnon

Make a photo stop at these two giant statues of Amenhotep III, rising about 18 meters (60 feet) high. Once guarding the entrance to his vast mortuary temple, they have watched over the Theban plain for more than 3,000 years.

Return to your ship for a tasty lunch and dinner on board as you set sail along the timeless Nile.

Upon arrival in Edfu, take a horse-drawn carriage ride through the town to visit:

Temple of Horus

Return to your ship for a relaxing evening, with dinner on board and an overnight stay as the cruise continues.

Wake up on board your Nile cruise and enjoy a leisurely breakfast as the ship sails south toward Kom Ombo. Relax on the sundeck and watch the timeless scenery of the Nile glide by.

Upon arrival, step ashore to visit:

Temple of Kom Ombo

Perched dramatically on the banks of the Nile, this unique temple is dedicated to two gods at once: Sobek, the crocodile-headed god of fertility, and Horus the Elder, the falcon-headed god of the sky. Built during the Ptolemaic period, its perfectly symmetrical design features twin entrances, twin sanctuaries, and beautifully carved reliefs. Don’t miss the nearby chamber displaying mummified crocodiles, a fascinating glimpse into the worship of Sobek.

Return to your ship for lunch on board as the cruise continues toward Aswan. Spend the afternoon relaxing on deck and enjoying the peaceful river views.

Enjoy dinner on board and an overnight stay on the cruise.

Day 10: Cruise Disembarkation - Aswan Day Tour

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast on board as your Nile cruise arrives in Aswan, the sun-drenched jewel of southern Egypt. Check out of the cruise, then join your guide to explore:

The High Dam
Marvel at this monumental feat of modern engineering, completed in 1970, which tamed the Nile’s annual flood and created Lake Nasser, one of the largest man-made lakes in the world. Stand on the dam and enjoy sweeping views over the lake on one side and the river on the other.

Philae Temple
Cross the sparkling waters by motorboat to reach this enchanting island sanctuary dedicated to the goddess Isis. Relocated stone by stone to the island of Agilkia to save it from the rising waters of Lake Nasser, Philae is one of the most beautiful and romantic temples in Egypt, with graceful colonnades and finely carved reliefs.

The Unfinished Obelisk
Visit the ancient granite quarries to see the largest known obelisk ever attempted, which would have stood nearly 42 meters tall and weighed around 1,000 tons. It was abandoned after a crack appeared in the stone, offering a rare glimpse into how the ancient Egyptians carved these colossal monuments.

After your visit, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Aswan, then transfer to your hotel for check-in.

Day 11: Abu Simbel Day Tour

Check out of your hotel at 6:00 AM and set off with a breakfast box in a private air-conditioned vehicle, accompanied by your guide, for the scenic desert drive to Abu Simbel. Watch the sunrise over the Nubian desert as you travel south toward the Sudanese border.

Abu Simbel Temples
Arrive at one of the most breathtaking monuments in all of Egypt, carved directly into a sandstone mountain on the shores of Lake Nasser. Built by Ramesses II in the 13th century BC, the complex consists of two magnificent temples.

The Great Temple of Ramesses II
Stand before four colossal statues of the pharaoh, each rising about 20 meters high, guarding the entrance. Inside, vast halls decorated with powerful reliefs, including scenes of the Battle of Kadesh, lead to the inner sanctuary. Twice a year, in February and October, the rising sun penetrates the temple and illuminates the statues seated at the back.

The Small Temple of Queen Nefertari
Dedicated to the goddess Hathor and to Ramesses II’s beloved wife, Nefertari, this graceful temple is fronted by statues of the king and queen standing side by side, a rare tribute to a royal wife. Like the Great Temple, it was carefully cut into blocks and relocated in the 1960s to save it from the rising waters of Lake Nasser.

After exploring the temples, enjoy lunch, then drive back to Aswan for your transfer to the airport and your flight to Cairo.

Bibliotheca Alexandrina

Start your sightseeing at the Alexandria Library, a modern tribute to the great library of antiquity and one of the most celebrated landmarks in the world. It is among the largest and most advanced libraries anywhere, with collections in Arabic, English, and French, and it is home to the largest collection of French books in North Africa and the Middle East. Explore its striking art galleries and rare book collections.

Qaitbay Citadel

Step into a living echo of the past at Qaitbay Citadel, built in 1477 by Sultan Al-Ashraf Sayf al-Din Qaitbay on the very spot where the legendary Lighthouse of Alexandria once stood. The fortress was constructed using stones salvaged from the fallen lighthouse, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, which was destroyed by a series of earthquakes between the 10th and 14th centuries. Admire the beautiful Islamic-era architecture and soak in the sweeping Mediterranean views.

Lunch Time

Treat yourself to a delicious seafood lunch at a Mediterranean-style restaurant, then continue your exploration.

Pompey’s Pillar

Marvel at Pompey’s Pillar, a striking symbol of Roman power and one of the largest monolithic columns ever built outside of Rome. Carved from red Aswan granite, it rises about 27 meters high, with a Greek inscription at its base dedicated to Emperor Diocletian. Its name comes from a medieval legend: travelers mistakenly believed the remains of the Roman general Pompey were kept in a pot at the very top.
